We (being my wife and I and James and LeAnn) saw Episode III on Monday Night. Like everyone is saying it is a dark movie, but it had to be. Anakin Skywalker would not have crossed over to the Dark Side if he only had fell in a field of flowers and scratched his knee. I think that George Lucas did a great job of depicting that we do not change our ways one day. Experiences shape us, people shape us, life shapes us and it is over a period of time not after one thing happening. Moving into the spiritual relem people do not fall away from the faith after not reading their bible one day, no it takes letting our shield down and aloowing influences like friends or family, music, TV, movies, ideologies and philosophies influtrate our thinking when we are not spending time in God’s word or communicating with Him through prayer or worship. It too is journey to the Dark Side.

I think George Lucas did a good job at explaining how things happend leading up to Episode IV. That was the purpsoe of these movies was it not. All in all I am happy with the first three episodes and more than likely will own the box DVD set of all 6.

Do you ever think about your spirtual health? My wife and I sat up late last night and talked about ours. We talked about the promises we made when we were getting married about how our family would be. We talked about our personal spirtual health and where we thought we were and why. Its easy to say that life gets in the way, but it does. If we let our wants, desires, easy ways out then our spiritual health is not going to be very healthy. Being a Christian (I am pointing the finger at myself as I type which is hard to do and type) isn’t about for going our desires and oursleves and taking up our crosses daily.

So today I challenge myself to change my bad habits of self interests and make my spiritual health more on the forefront of my mind and actions.

I upgraded to Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger), for you who don’t know I’m a Apple Freak. They have a new feature call Dashboard. It displays little widgets that run in the background that a useful and fun. There is one widget that is a Hula Girl and you can change it to a Hula Jesus. Its Cool, I talk, Jesus shakes. I found one that I can buy for my actual car dashboard that I might buy, my wife thinks I should. Anyways, just a random thought for today.
